Responsibilities: Essential Functions
The Human Resources Director will be responsible for the day to day process of the traditional human resources duties; which include but are not limited to, secretarial, recruitment and retention activities, benefits enrollments, orientation, training, risk management and employee health support functions. The HR Director also accumulates, maintains and processes payroll records and checks; audits and processes data to facilitate the preparation of employee paychecks to ensure that processing of information is submitted properly and on a timely basis. Assists in defining the human resources policies of the hospital in collaboration with the management, and company guidelines, as appropriate. Maintains current policies and procedures in accordance with Joint Commission, Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Federal and State regulations, Oceans' Mission, policies and procedures and PI Standards.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent preferred; or a minimum of two (2) years of experience in human resources. Experience in payroll preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to read and to write. Continually be up-to-date on State, Federal regulations; Joint Commission regulations, etc. People skills are a must. The HR Director must be able to communicate orally and written. Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Must have a valid Driver's License.
